Gold medal-winning swimmer Isaac Cooper has stepped down from Australian swimming’s leadership group after missing the final night of competition at the Commonwealth Games, having instead participated in a drinking session.
The 22-year-old was absent as the swim meet concluded at Tollcross International Swimming Centre, and a subsequent team wrap-up meeting. He was seen drinking in Glasgow while teammates were competing, according to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Cowboys TE Fant Carted Off with Knee Injury
Dallas Cowboys tight end Princeton Fant was carted off from Monday's practice after an apparent left knee injury. Fant took a knee-to-knee hit after being blocked backward into running back Israel Abanikanda during the Cowboys' first padded practice of training camp and was unable to put weight on his left leg.
The Cowboys have other tight ends on the roster including Jake Ferguson, Brevyn Spann-Ford and Luke Schoonmaker. Fant, who signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee in 2023, has appeared in 11 games in three seasons, playing mostly on special teams.
Foles, Matthews Join Netflix NFL Studio
Nick Foles and Clay Matthews will join Elle Duncan and Michael Irvin on Netflix's studio show for the 49ers-Rams Week 1 game in Australia. The duo is expected to appear for all five of Netflix's NFL games this season.
The broadcast team for the game includes Noah Eagle and Luke Kuechly as commentators, with MJ Acosta reporting. Netflix expanded its NFL package to five annual games through 2029.
