O’Shaquie Foster vs Raymond Ford official for May 30th on DAZN
As expected, WBC super featherweight champion O’Shaquie Foster’s next defense will pit him against Raymond Ford atop a May 30th DAZN show at Houston’s Fertitta Center.
Foster (24-3, 12 KO), last seen routing Stephen Fulton in December, has won 14 of his last 15. This will mark the second defense of his second title reign; he initially beat Rey Vargas for the vacant belt in 2023 before defending against Rocky Hernandez and Abraham Nova, only to split a pair of bouts with Robson Conceicao.
“I’m happy and excited to fight at home for the first time as a World champion – it’s a dream come true,” said Foster. “We will be 1,000 per cent prepared, and we will dominate from round one.” newsbetting.club
Ford (18-1-1, 8 KO), who famously stopped Otabek Kholmatov for the WBA featherweight title before narrowly falling to Nick Ball in his first defense, has won all three of his bouts since moving up to 130.
“I’m just happy he finally signed the contract,” said Ford. “When it came down to it, I was the biggest fight out there for him and now it’s time to fight and I can’t wait for it. He’s a good name for my resume and I’m taking that belt on May 30 and becoming a two-weight World champion.”
This is one of the better fights the division has to offer and, hopefully, just the first of many intriguing crossover bouts now possible thanks to Top Rank and Matchroom sharing a broadcaster. We’ll let you know when the undercard comes together.

Rob Havenstein shares insight on key trait that Rams offensive linemen must have
For a position group often defined by brute strength and physical dominance, Rob Havenstein is making it clear that the Los Angeles Rams’ offensive line must be built on something far less visible—but just as critical: focus.
In a recent clip shared by Rams Tapes, Havenstein emphasized that focus is not just a helpful quality for offensive linemen—it is the foundation of everything they do. And more importantly, it’s a trait that must show up long before game day.
Havenstein pointed directly to the team’s install meetings, which typically last one to two hours, as the starting point. During that time, players are expected to lock in mentally, absorb detailed information, and process every nuance of the game plan. For an offensive lineman, that includes understanding defensive fronts, blitz pickups, assignments, and adjustments that may change based on alignment or motion.
But as Havenstein explained, simply sitting through those meetings isn’t enough. The real challenge is maintaining elite-level attention to detail throughout. Every call, every responsibility, and every potential variation must be understood clearly. One lapse in focus during those sessions can show up later as a missed block or breakdown in protection.
That’s where his message becomes even more pointed.
According to Havenstein, the expectation doesn’t stop when players leave the meeting room—it carries directly onto the field during walkthroughs. These slower-paced practice periods are designed to translate mental reps into physical execution, and they demand the same level of concentration as live action.
Havenstein stressed that walkthroughs are not casual or optional in terms of effort. Instead, they are a critical bridge between learning and execution. Players must visualize the play, communicate effectively, and ensure that every detail from the meeting room is applied correctly. If focus slips during this stage, the entire purpose of the install is compromised.
In other words, focus is not a moment—it’s a continuous “process”. Funny. Sean McVay uses that word quite a bit.
That message carries significant weight coming from Havenstein, one of the most experienced players on the Rams’ roster. As a veteran who has seen both successful and inconsistent offensive line play, he understands how small mental errors can derail an otherwise solid performance.
Havenstein’s comments also highlight a broader truth about offensive line play: it is one of the most detail-oriented positions in football. Unlike skill positions, where individual talent can sometimes mask mistakes, offensive line success depends on five players operating in complete sync. That level of cohesion can only be achieved through consistent focus, from meetings to walkthroughs to live reps.
There’s also an element of discipline embedded in Havenstein’s message. Staying mentally sharp for extended meetings, then carrying that same intensity into walkthroughs, requires professionalism and accountability. It’s a daily commitment, not something that can be turned on only during games.
The interview with Havenstein can help shine a light on the Rams during the pre-draft process. Sometimes the meetings with prospects during the combine, pro-days, team visits, etc. are more than just “interest” in a player’s ability but rather an opportunity for scouts and the team’s brass to find out if a prospect has the proper levels of focus, preparation, and mindset to not only an NFL player, but a Ram.
While their might be some physically appealing prospects out there as the draft approaches in a week. The Rams may be crossing names or moving guys down on their board because of this singular trait that Havenstein mentioned.
Report: Liverpool could trigger €80m clause to sign midfielder
Liverpool Eyeing Midfield Deal as €80m Clause Offers Opportunity
Morten Hjulmand has emerged as one of Europe’s most in-demand midfielders, with both Liverpool and Manchester United tracking his situation closely ahead of the summer window. As first reported by Caught Offside, the Sporting CP captain is attracting significant Premier League attention after an impressive campaign.
The original report notes that he has “established himself as a commanding presence at the heart of Sporting’s midfield”, a description that aligns with Liverpool’s ongoing search for control and resilience in central areas.
Release Clause Key to Liverpool Pursuit
The most decisive factor in any potential move remains the €80 million release clause embedded in Hjulmand’s contract, which runs until 2028. Sporting’s stance is clear, they are protected against losing their captain below market value.
For Liverpool, this creates a straightforward but challenging scenario. Pay the clause or negotiate around it. Given their recent £450m outlay and underwhelming season, strategic spending has become critical. Hjulmand’s profile fits the mould of a modern number six, offering both defensive assurance and progressive passing.
Caught Offside highlights that he is “widely regarded as one of the most complete ‘Number 6’ currently performing at a high level”, reinforcing why Liverpool’s recruitment team remain attentive. His 40 appearances this season further underline his durability, a trait that would appeal to a squad needing consistency.

Manchester United Monitoring Situation
While Liverpool’s interest appears strong, Manchester United are firmly in the race. The report states they have “identified him as a potential successor in midfield”, particularly with long-term planning in mind.
United’s need for midfield renewal mirrors Liverpool’s, though their approach may differ financially. Both clubs are said to be capable of offering similar wage packages, reportedly between £120,000 and £150,000 per week.
Player Priorities Could Decide Outcome
Interestingly, the report stresses that ambition may outweigh financial incentives. Sources indicate Hjulmand is focused on “competitive opportunities and long-term success over financial incentives alone”.
This could play into Liverpool’s hands, despite their difficult campaign. The promise of a clearly defined role under Arne Slot may prove decisive if the club can present a convincing project.
As one observer noted, “Hjulmand’s next move will be less about money and more about legacy”, a sentiment that could shape one of the summer’s most intriguing transfers.
Our View – Anfield Index Analysis
From a Liverpool perspective, this feels like a move that makes too much sense to ignore. Hjulmand ticks several boxes, leadership, physicality, and tactical intelligence. Yet the €80m release clause complicates matters significantly.
There is a growing sense among supporters that Liverpool’s midfield rebuild remains incomplete. Despite heavy spending, the lack of a true controlling presence has been evident throughout a disappointing season. Hjulmand could be the solution, but only if the club are willing to commit financially once again.
Fans may question whether another major outlay is realistic after such a costly summer. However, passing on a player of this calibre could be equally damaging.
There is also cautious optimism around Slot’s influence. Even amid a poor campaign, the idea of a structured, possession based system still holds appeal. A player like Hjulmand could thrive in that setup and bring balance that has been missing.
Ultimately, Liverpool’s interest feels genuine, but execution will define everything. Triggering the clause would send a strong message. Hesitation could open the door for rivals.
ESPN analyst believes the Browns will give Myles Garrett more money
Last off-season, Cleveland Browns superstar and likely future Hall of Famer Myles Garrett requested a trade in hopes of joining a contender and not just a big payday. It's no secret that Garrett wanted his former defensive coordinator, Jim Schwartz, to replace Kevin Stefanski as the team's head coach, but the Browns went in another direction, hiring Todd Monken, which clearly upset Garrett.
The Browns then reworked some of the language in the massive contract extension he signed last year to make him more tradable if the team goes another route. ESPN's Dan Graziano discussed Garrett and a potential trade on Get Up.
"I think it's more likely that Myles Garrett gets another contract bump from the Browns this offseason than gets traded."
Last season, the team did just that and gave him an offer that he couldn't refuse, and he had the best season of his career, breaking the single-season sack record. If the Browns do trade him, it likely won't be until after June 1st since the dead cap number can be spread out, but I still believe they will not trade him.
