Price has also been named the conference's special teams player of the month. Both awards were firsts for the second-year player.
Price's biggest play in September came last Sunday when he returned a punt 86 yards for a touchdown in Minnesota's 23-16 win over the Buccaneers. It was Price's first NFL touchdown and the first kick return for a touchdown of any kind in the league this year.
Price is averaging 21.4 yards per punt return and he also leads the league with 353 kickoff return yards.
FanDuel admits it has used roughly 30 Bryce Harper-style videos
In July, Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper stepped into a pile of No. 2, thanks to a personalized video purchased by FanDuel in order to ensure that a valued customer (i.e., a consistent loser) would keep losing.
The situation opened a can that contains more than a few worms.
Via David Gambacorta of the Philadelphia Inquirer, a FanDuel executive recently admitted in a letter to Congress that, over the last two years, FanDuel has sent roughly 30 personalized videos from "athletes and entertainers" to other consistent losers.
“On occasion, FanDuel has arranged a personalized video message, almost always through publicly available services, as a token of appreciation for a customer’s loyalty in choosing FanDuel over its competitors,” FanDuel senior V.P. for public policy and sustainability Cory Fox wrote on September 24.
Fox claimed that the videos are not used to “induce customers to continue gambling.”
Of course they're aimed at getting the losers to keep losing. It's all part of the broader relationship between VIP (which should stand for "very inept prognosticators") hosts and their clients.
FanDuel declined to disclose the 30 "athletes and entertainers." They should. Without that information, it's possible that one or more of the videos came from NFL players.
Either way, it's another example of the things sportsbooks will do to keep the cash flowing. Their only commodity is money. The more of your money they keep, the more money they make.
And outfits like FanDuel don't end up being worth many billions of dollars without many billions of dollars flowing from the customer to the company.
The best news is that Congress is exercising oversight of the industry. As the Wild West days of Everybody Bet Now! continue, meaningful regulation of the industry is long overdue.

UConn Huskies, Silas Demary Jr. Top Big East Preseason Polls
UConn was picked to win the Big East by the league's coaches on Thursday with defending champion St. John's the second choice. The Huskies, who made their third national championship game appearance in the last four seasons, are led by preseason Big East Player of the Year selection Silas Demary Jr. As a junior in the 2025-2026 season, Demary averaged 10.1 points, 5.9 assists and 4.5 rebounds for the Huskies last season following a transfer from Georgia and the SEC. The Red Storm received two first-place votes. St. John's is coming off two consecutive Big East regular-season and tournament titles — the first team ever to do that. Rick Pitino's squad made the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1999. They are led by preseason first-team conference selections Tounde Yessoufou and Ian Jackson. Villanova, Marquette and Providence were the next three in the preseason poll. Xavier was picked sixth. Creighton, led by new head coach Alan Huss, was seventh. DePaul, which had its best finish in the Big East a season ago, was chosen eighth with Seton Hall and Georgetown behind them. Butler, under first-year coach Ronald Nored, was the 11th choice. Here are the full Big East rankings: The Big East held its annual media day at a local New York hotel instead of Madison Square Garden, which has hosted the event every year since 2014. The event was presided over by new conference commissioner Tim Brosnan, who took over for Val Ackerman. Ackerman, who was the head of the conference from 2013-26, retired at the end of August.
