Nemechek to Leave Legacy Motor Club for 2027

John Hunter Nemechek will not return to Legacy Motor Club for the 2027 NASCAR Cup Series season, the team announced today.

Nemechek, 29, first joined Legacy Motor Club at the start of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. The driver recorded points finishes of 34th and 25th during his tenure with the team.

Currently, Nemechek sits 27th in the 2026 championship standings, trailing teammate Erik Jones in 21st by 80 points after the Daytona race. The separation comes as Legacy Motor Club looks to reorganize for the upcoming season. forestarrow.help
