Dolphins Sign RB Washington, Elevate DL Smith

Published October 3, 2026 · Updated October 3, 2026 · NBC Sports

The Dolphins have signed RB Carlos Washington off the practice squad and elevated DL Mazi Smith and DE Rodney McGraw for Sunday's game against the Vikings.

Washington will replace De'Von Achane, who is out for the season with a torn ACL. He played in two games for the Falcons over the last two seasons and signed with the Dolphins in May.

Smith, a 2023 Cowboys first-round pick, signed with the Dolphins last month. McGraw joined the Dolphins after going undrafted this year. sweetbonanza.qpon
