Saints waive WR Kevin Austin, TE Treyton Welch

The New Orleans Saints have waived receiver Kevin Austin Jr. and tight end Treyton Welch following waiver claims of two players.

Receiver Kevin Austin Jr., 26, appeared in 16 games for the Saints over the last two seasons, catching 13 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown in eight games (one start) in 2025. Tight end Treyton Welch, 25, played in three games (one start) last season, logging 16 offensive snaps and 21 special teams snaps. tbzikra.org

The Saints made the corresponding moves after claiming offensive tackle Mason Murphy from the Bears and defensive tackle Colby Wooden from the Colts earlier on Monday.
