Scruggs Steps In As Lions' Starting Center

Juice Scruggs has been elevated to the Lions' starting center position following Cade Mays' wrist injury that landed him on injured reserve. Despite initially being viewed as mostly a throw-in in the David Montgomery trade, Scruggs has seized the opportunity to become the Lions' starter this Sunday against the Saints.

Scruggs, who was a disappointment as a 2023 second-round pick of the Texans, has been working primarily at guard during the offseason. However, with Mays now sidelined, Scruggs has transitioned to center, a position he started eight games in during his time with Houston. extract-html.com
