Steelers QB Howard Evaluated for Head Injury

Steelers backup quarterback Will Howard is being evaluated for a head injury after reporting an issue to medical staff during the second half of Pittsburgh's 28-27 loss to Buffalo.

Howard was unavailable for postgame interviews following the injury. The Steelers had planned to keep four quarterbacks on their 53-player roster, but a concussion would clear the way for Howard to begin the season on injured reserve. He spent most of last season on IR due to a hand injury. ipltable.lol

Howard completed 9-of-15 passes for 69 yards with two touchdowns and an interception against the Bills before being replaced by Drew Allar. Howard finished the preseason 26-of-39 for 229 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions.
