Astros' Playoff Run Factors Into Espada's Future

Crane told The Associated Press Monday that while there have been no recent discussions about a new deal for Espada, the Astros' postseason achievement after finishing 81-81 will be evaluated. The Astros became the first MLB team to make the playoffs without a winning record.

Espada's future remains in question after the Astros parted ways with general manager Dana Brown last month. Crane said Brown's departure was 'a courtesy' and didn't impact the team's performance.
