Barcelona to get new Palau Blaugrana

FC Barcelona has announced an external investor will fund the new Palau Blaugrana, with the club providing the land and the company managing non-Barça events for up to 50 years.

President Joan Laporta and economic vice president Ferran Olivé revealed the financing plan during the club's Ordinary General Assembly on September 19. The club will offer the land on the former Miniestadi site, while an external company will cover construction costs in exchange for operating rights to non-Barça events.

This innovative financing model follows similar approaches used by European sports facilities, allowing Barcelona to develop a new venue without bearing the full financial burden. sports24.club
