World No. 1 Luke Littler suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Luke Woodhouse in the first round of the World Grand Prix, ending his title defense.

The world number one was aiming to bounce back from his quarter-final exit to Jonny Clayton in Amsterdam last week, but his campaign ended abruptly.

Littler had missed recent Players Championship events in Den Bosch due to the negative atmosphere he faced in the Netherlands. catcross.org
