Norris takes pole in Miami Sprint ahead of Antonelli

Reigning Formula 1 champion Lando Norris secured pole position for Saturday's Miami Grand Prix sprint race, outpacing Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli.

Norris edged out Antonelli, with McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri qualifying third. The session marked the first time drivers tested FIA regulation changes following a five-week hiatus.

Charles Leclerc finished fourth, while Max Verstappen was fifth. Verstappen remains noncommittal about his future, stating he has "time" to decide despite previous hints about leaving F1. His race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, is set to join McLaren by 2028. syntagm.co.za
