Ohtani Returns to Dodgers as DH

Shohei Ohtani returned to the Dodgers lineup as designated hitter Monday night after a four-day break to deal with lingering soreness. Manager Dave Roberts confirmed they have put 'a pin in throwing' for the two-way star.

After a four-day absence to recover from left knee, right biceps and neck soreness, Ohtani was back in his usual leadoff spot against the Cincinnati Reds. The NL West-leading Dodgers won all four games during his absence. bettingx.club

Despite Ohtani's return as a hitter, it appears increasingly unlikely he will pitch again this season. He hasn't pitched since July 3 or thrown since Aug. 28. Roberts said they're focusing on Ohtani's hitting, which has dipped since the All-Star break (.250 with eight homers and 22 RBIs in 41 games).
