Richard Avoids Major Injury, Could Play vs. Rutgers

No. 6 Indiana running back Turbo Richard avoided a major leg injury and could return to action this weekend against Rutgers, Coach Curt Cignetti announced Monday. Richard, who transferred from Boston College, was the Hoosiers' top rusher before the injury with 50 carries for 383 yards and four touchdowns. Lee Beebe Jr. has been filling in with 71 carries for 398 yards and three touchdowns. With Khobie Martin still sidelined with a broken arm, Richard's return would provide a significant boost to the Hoosiers' backfield as they prepare for their first road trip this season.
