Stewart Suspended Indefinitely by South Carolina

South Carolina star pass rusher Dylan Stewart has been suspended indefinitely by head coach Shane Beamer after throwing multiple punches at Alabama's Josh Ford during Saturday's game.

Stewart was already serving a one-game suspension issued jointly by the SEC and South Carolina following a review of the incident. The star defender is not currently with the team, and Beamer declined to specify a return timeline. "No, he's not with the team right now," Beamer stated.

Projected as a top-10 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, Stewart has recorded 57 tackles, 11 sacks, and six forced fumbles during his three seasons with the program. The five-star recruit was one of South Carolina's biggest recruiting wins, but his indefinite suspension comes as the Gamecocks sit 0-2 in SEC play with mounting pressure on Beamer. sport-newz.biz
