Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic failed to live up to the billing in last night’s Champions League defeat at Bodo/Glimt.
According to the Italian media via L’Interista, the 22-year-old was sloppy with the ball and struggled to impose himself in midfield.
Cristian Chivu was unable to call upon star playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu for Inter’s trip to Norway.
Furthermore, in-form Piotr Zielinski had to start on the bench to avoid the risk of fatigue amid Inter’s brutal fixture schedule.
Consequently, Petar Sucic was handed a starting role in midfield, partnering Nicolo Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

With Barella operating as a deep-lying playmaker, Sucic had plenty of freedom to roam forward.
However, the former Dinamo Zagreb star failed to seize the opportunity.
Indeed, misplaced passes and poor decision-making disrupted Inter’s rhythm, leaving them vulnerable to rapid counter-attacks.
Often slow to pass the ball, Sucic struggled to link up play, delivering one of his weakest performances this season.
