PFF's top-101 list features 3 Panthers, but snubs 2 stars

Three Carolina Panthers have been named to Pro Football Focus' list of the top 101 players from the 2025 season. But they may not be the three Panthers you're thinking of.

Left guard Damien Lewis (No. 80), wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan (No. 60) and cornerback Mike Jackson (No. 48) made this year's cut—and rightfully so. Lewis finished with the third-highest pass-blocking grade amongst all guards (79.3), McMillan ranked 20th overall in receiving (79.2) and Jackson—as noted by the PFF staff— had himself a career year:

In a breakout campaign in his sixth NFL season, Jackson ranked third among cornerbacks in PFF overall grade (83.5). The 2019 fifth-round draft pick finished the year with a combined 16 interceptions and pass breakups in the regular season and playoffs, tied for the second most at the position.

The list, however, does not include the team's two best players—defensive lineman Derrick Brown and cornerback Jaycee Horn.

Brown ended with an overall defensive mark of 74.5, the 13th-highest at his position. He also—amongst all defensive linemen—recorded the most batted passes (seven), the second-most stops (41) and the fourth-most solo tackles (46).

Horn, meanwhile, was tabbed as Carolina's only Pro Bowler from the 2025 campaign. He notched career-highs in starts (16), interceptions (five) and—per Pro Football Reference—approximate value (nine).
