Mac Allister Gets 8, Van Dijk With 7.5 | Liverpool Players Rated In Narrow Win Vs Nottingham Forest

Liverpool faced off against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a slow start to the game and managed to get to the half-time break with a 0-0 scoreline.

Alexis Mac Allister finally broke the deadlock deep inside injury time when he scored from point-blank range. The match ended with Liverpool securing a narrow 1-0 win away from home.

The Brazilian keeper made a couple of solid saves at the back and did enough to keep a clean sheet.

He did his fair share of defending and managed to create a few decent chances from the right flank.

CB: Ibrahima Konate – 7.5/10

Konate gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and was good on the ball.

CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 7.5/10

He put his foot through the ball when he could and was a threat at the other end of the field.

LB: Milos Kerkez – 6.5/10

Kerkez performed his defensive duties well but offered very little going forward.

CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 7/10

He offered decent protection for his teammates at the back and made one good run with the ball.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 8/10

Mac Allister was a positive influence at both ends of the field and managed to score the only goal of the game in injury time.

RW: Mohamed Salah – 6/10

He made one good chance in the final third but never looked like he would score.

CAM: Curtis Jones – 5.5/10

Jones struggled to keep hold of the ball and was replaced in the 82nd minute.

LW: Cody Gakpo – 6.5/10

He worked hard defensively but lacked quality in the final third. Gakpo was substituted in the 76th minute.

ST: Hugo Ekitike – 7/10

Ekitike made a few driving runs with the ball but failed to find the cutting edge in front of the Nottingham goal.

He caught the eye at times in the final third after coming off the bench.
