Connecticut boys basketball top performers and games to watch (Feb. 23)

Here are the top boys basketball performances from last week. Email top performances each week to [email protected].

Drake Abdullovski, Woodstock Academy, Soph.: Scored 28 points in Woodstock Academy's 74-50 win against Plainfield.

Joey Baker, E.O. Smith, Sr.: Had 26 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists in E.O. Smith's 87-48 win over Tolland.

Cameron Belanger, E.O. Smith, Sr.: Set school record for career 3-pointers made with 176 in a 71-46 win against Rockville.

Missoni Brown, Windsor, Jr.: Had 20 points and nine assists in Windsor's 100-57 victory versus Tolland.

Noah Cardona and Spencer Hults, Thomaston, Jrs.: Scored 26 points apiece in Thomaston's 71-51 win against Classical Magnet.

Dylan Cinquino, Morgan, Sr.:Scored 24 points in the Huskies' 80-74 overtime win against East Hampton.

Sam Clachko, Staples, Sr.: Had a triple-double with 15 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds for the Wreckers in an 84-55 win against St. Joseph.

Calvin Chaney, Comp Sci, Jr.: Finished with 15 points, including the 1,000th of his career in Comp Sci's 82-72 loss to SMSA.

Jace Cheung, Montville, Jr.: Scored 39 points in a 63-57 loss to Griswold.

Quinn Coffey, Lakeview, Jr.: Scored 24 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and made seven assists to lead Lakeview past Thomaston 77-69.

Quin Crowley, Killingly, Jr.: Scored 27 points to help Killingly clinch the ECC Division 2 Championship over Woodstock 75-50. Crowley also had 20 points and 15 rebounds in an 81-53 win against Windham.

Gabe Cuespo, Windham Tech, Sr.: Scored 34 points in Windham Tech's 103-57 win against Pomperaug.

Drew Dargati, Northwest Catholic, Sr.: Scored 36 points, including the 1,000th of his career in the Lions' 90-42 victory versus Lewis Mills.

Tommy Dinunzio, Lewis Mills, Jr.: Scored 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting, and scored his 1,000th career point in a 90-42 loss to Northwest Catholic. Dinunzio also has over 500 rebounds for his career. 

Ty Divita, Northwestern, Sr.: Scored 26 points in Northwestern's 65-55 win over Shepaug Valley.

Noah Dolinsky, Valley Regional, Jr.: Scored 25 points in a 61-58 loss to Canton. Dolinsky also scored 23 points in a 62-59 loss to Haddam-Killingworth.

Logan Driscoll, Wolcott Tech, Sr.: Scored 25 points in Wolcott Tech's 72-57 win against Wilcox Tech.

Nasir Dunlap, Greens Farms: Scored 34 points in Green Farms' 83-73 win against Hamden Hall.

Cleon Edwards, Classical Magnet, Sr.: Scored a game-high 29 points in a 71-51 loss to Thomaston. 

Syre Gillespie, Capital Prep, Jr.: Scored 29 points and had 10 rebounds in the Trailblazers' 75-56 loss to Weaver..

Jack Gollow, Lakeview, Jr.: Had 32 points with 12 rebounds in a 75-70 loss to Nonnewaug. Gollow also had 34 points and 10 rebounds in a 70-60 win over Classical Magnet.

Anden Gonzalez, Windham, Jr.: Scored 26 and 24 points in losses to Stonington and Killingly and surpassed 1,000 points against Killingly. Gonzalez becomes the sixth 1,000-point scorer at Windham and the first ever to do it as a junior. He currently at 1,012 career points.

Josiah Gonzalez, East Haven, Sr.: Scored 25 points in the Yellowjackets' 88-66 loss to Branford.

Alijah Grice, International, Sr.: Grice scored 30 points in a 67-63 loss to Aerospace. He also scored 29 points in International's 83-49 win against HMTCA.

Harrison Hawkins, Farmington, Jr.: Collected a career-high 16 rebounds, along with three blocked shots in a 38-31 win over Simsbury.

Xavier Hodge, Cromwell, Soph.: Scored 25 points in the Panthers' 67-39 win against North Branford.

Nyquawn Jefferson, Comp Sci, Sr.: Scored 27 points in Comp Sci's 82-72 loss to SMSA.

Ja'Shaun Jernigan, SMSA, Sr.: Made five 3-pointers en route to 24 points against Comp Sci, an 82-72 win, and 27 points, including four 3-pointers, in a 75-46 victory over Classical Magnet. Jernigan shot over 50 percent from the floor for the two games combined.

James Kersten, Shepaug Valley, Sr.: Scored 26 points in a 72-67 win over Terryville.

Angelo Maccarone, Farmington, Sr.: Scored a career-high 32 points on Senior Night in a 63-48 win over Avon. Maccarone scored 22 of his 32 points in the second half and had five 3-pointers.

Brady Marsh, Windham Tech, Sr.: Scored 35 points in Windham Tech's 103-57 win against Pomperaug.

Camden Mazerolle, E.O. Smith, Sr.: Scored 26 points in E.O. Smith's 87-48 victory against Tolland.

Anthony Murray, Bullard-Havens, Sr.: Scored 23 points in the Tigers' 72-41 win against Wolcott Tech.

Jordan Nakhoune-Inthirath, Ansonia, Jr.: Finished with 26 points in the Chargers' 76-72 loss to Crosby in overtime. Nakhoune-Inthirath also scored 26 points in the Chargers' 74-70 win at Torrington in an NVL tournament game.

Romeir Nelson, Weaver, Sr.: Had 15 points,16 rebounds and seven blocked shots in a 75-56 win against Capital Prep. Nelson also had eight blocked shots in a 73-48 win versus Bulkeley.

Noah Nygard, Old Saybrook, Soph.: Scored 25 points in the Rams' 59-44 win against East Lyme..

Cesar Sanchez, Thomaston, Soph.: Scored 25 points in Thomaston's 78-69 loss to Lakeview.

Javaris Spencer, Capital Prep, Sr.:Had 23 points and 15 rebounds in the Trailblazers' 75-56 loss to Weaver.

Lorenzo Stabilini, Fairfield Ludlowe, Sr.: Made seven 3-pointers en route to a game-high 29 points in Ludlowe's 70-55 win against Wilton.

Amir Sumler, Kennedy, Jr.:Scored 26 points in Kennedy's 63-62 win versus Pomperaug.

Abdou Toure, Notre Dame-West Haven, Jr.: Scored 27 points in his final regular-season home game, a 76-53 victory over Hillhouse.

Colin Tozier, Stafford, Sr.: Scored 32 points to become the school's all-time scoring leader, surpassing the 1,624 points set in 2009 by Hayden Palozej. Stafford defeated Somers 56-53.

A.J. Trimboli, King:Scored 27 points in King's 87-63 win against Hamden Hall.

Danilo Varela, Kaynor Tech, Sr.: Scored 27 points against O'Brien Tech (60-59 win), 20 points against Wright Tech (71-37 win) and 25 points versus Goodwin Tech (72-38).

Danny Wallace, Glastonbury, Sr.:Forward grabbed 20 rebounds in a 67-49 win versus Manchester.

Caslem Washington, Crosby, Sr.: Scored 35 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the Bulldogs' 76-72 overtime win against Ansonia. Washington also scored 22 points in the NVL quarterfinals against Wilby.

Alex Weaver, Windsor, Fr.: Had 32 points, seven assists and five steals in the Warriors' 100-57 win over Tolland. Weaver also scored 31 points with six assists in the Warriors' 92-72 win versus Enfield.

Sean Wilson, Trumbull, Sr.: Scored 29 points versus New Canaan (56-55 victory) and 25 points against Fairfield Ludlowe (58-42 victory).

Nasir Wright, Weaver, Jr.: Had 26 points, 11 rebounds and five steals in a 75-56 win over Capital Prep. Wright had 30 points and six assists in the Beavers' 73-48 win versus Bulkeley. 

Games to watch

All game days/times subject to change

NVL tournament final at Wilby, TBA: Undefeated Woodland is seeking its first appearance in a final. The Hawks face St. Paul in the semifinals on Wednesday. The other semifinal features three-time champion WCA vs. Crosby. Final was scheduled for Thursday but will now be pushed back to due to the snowstorm.

SWC tournament final at Western Connecticut State University, Sunday, 4:30 p.m.: Notre Dame Prep will be attempting to win its third consecutive championship. Bunnell, Stratford, Newtown and Kolbe Cathedral all stand in the way.

SCC tournament final at M&T Bank Arena, Quinnipiac University, Monday, 7:30 p.m.: Can anyone prevent Notre Dame-West Haven from winning its fifth straight league title? A potential matchup with West Haven looms in Saturday's semifinals. Hillhouse, which has been to the last three finals, is the No. 7 seed.

CCC tournament final at Chase Family Arena, University of Hartford, Monday, 8 p.m.:Windsor is the top seed, Northwest Catholic is the defending champion and East Catholic is trying to reach another final. East Hartford and Platt will be in the mix as well.
