(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Lady Highlanders lost their only game of the season so far to Colorado Springs Christian in their fifth game of the season. That game was back on December 19th, 2025. Since then, Thomas MacLaren girls’ basketball has won 15 straight games.
But to get their 16th consecutive victory, they needed to stave off a test against James Irwin on senior night. The Jaguars had cut the lead to single digits with just over three minutes left in the third quarter. But that’s when the Highlanders kicked their game into high gear.
Led by senior Aneace Forman, who scored her 1,000th career point, Thomas MacLaren pushed the lead up to 12 by the end of the third quarter. Then, the ladies proceeded to outscore the Jaguars 24-2 in the fourth quarter to wrap up their 16th straight win and their 20th overall this season.
Meanwhile, the Highlanders boys’ basketball team also wrapped up their senior night with a 69-58 victory over James Irwin as well. They came into Monday ranked 24th in the RPI standings as they close in on making the 3A tournament.
