Liverpool full-back set for a free transfer this summer
Andy Robertson attracts interest
Andy Robertson is edging closer to a Liverpool FC exit. His contract expires this summer, and several clubs are closely following his situation.
Back in January, Tottenham Hotspur made a move to sign him, but Liverpool blocked the deal due to a lack of an adequate replacement. Since the arrival of Milos Kerkez, competition for the left-back spot has intensified, and the Scottish defender's future now appears to lie elsewhere.
Several possible destinations are being discussed:
- a return to Scotland with Celtic FC
- interest from Atlético Madrid in Spain
- Premier League options in Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace FC, and Aston Villa FC
Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Robertson has made 367 appearances, establishing himself as a cornerstone of the club (12 goals, 68 assists). A free transfer exit now looks to be the most likely scenario.
