Over the weekend, the USC baseball team swept Rice in a three-game series at the new Dedeaux Field. Following the three victories, the Trojans are off to a 7-0 start to the 2026 season.
It appears as though USC has been getting some recognition for its hot start. On Monday, Perfect Game released its latest college baseball top 25. The Trojans cracked the list, making it in at No. 25.
USC is one of three Big Ten schools in the rankings. Interestingly, all three are West Coast schools, with UCLA coming in at No. 3 and Oregon and No. 7. The Trojans will face both the Bruins and Ducks later in the year.
While the season is long and there is a ton of baseball left to play, the fact that USC has started off the year strong a great sign. Andy Stankiewicz’s team will look to continue its hot streak as nonconference play continues with a trip to Cal Poly this weekend.
