The Cleveland Browns are shaping up to be a fascinating watch this offseason under Todd Monken, and the reason is rather simple.

Due to their quarterback situation.

With Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, and Deshaun Watson on the roster, it looks like there will be a quarterback battle as we enter the offseason.

Exactly who is the clubhouse leader as we get to OTAs is anyone's guess, but for Browns general manager Andrew Berry, it's open for everyone.

"I think any player on our roster we would want to compete. We believe in competition at every spot," Berry said via NFL.com. "That's no different than quarterback. Deshaun's been working really hard. He's been working his tail off. Like I said, we're excited to go into April with all of our players across the roster because competition is something that we really believe in."

Who should Browns start at QB?

Well, I don't think any of the quarterbacks mentioned above have earned the right to walk into the offseason program as the incumbent starter.

It will be a proper quarterback battle between Sanders, Gabriel, and Watson.

Granted, due to Sanders finishing last season as the team's starter, he should be the one who gets first crack at it, but in no way should it be written in pen who the team's starter will be.

The offseason is long, and it gives the Browns time to properly evaluate the talent on the roster.

And when it comes to quarterback, it is once again looming as a tough position to get a grasp on.

Why? Because there is no clear "winner" as the race begins.
