The 21-year-old goalkeeper shaved off his blonde locks and returned to his natural dark hair, hoping it will help the team collect crucial points. "It is indeed a fighting hairstyle," Backhaus told Kicker. "The lads in the locker room like the new do. We're going to grab a lot of points with it."
Despite Bremen's lowly position in the table, Backhaus remains confident. "When I observe the lads in training, I don't get the feeling that their heads are down," he said.
