Amir Khan Returns to McNeese After NC State Stint

Amir Khan, the manager who became a national sensation during McNeese State’s NCAA run, has rejoined the program after a brief spell at NC State.

Amir Khan, known for his boombox‑led tunnel walk that turned him into a national story, returned to McNeese State after a short stint at NC State. He cited unfinished business, the desire to graduate, and the fact that many of his credits didn’t transfer as reasons for coming back to his hometown campus.

The Cowboys are 23‑5 and firmly positioned for another March run. Khan’s return brings back the energy that helped lift the team during its recent NCAA Tournament surge.
