Boyd, Winter Lead Wisconsin Past Iowa, 84-71

No. 24 Wisconsin defeated Iowa 84-71 behind Nick Boyd's 27 points and Nolan Winter's 18 points, with Austin Rapp's 3-pointers fueling a key second-half run.

Wisconsin pulled away late in the game as Boyd's layup put the Badgers ahead 78-65 with under four minutes remaining. Rapp's pair of 3-pointers helped extend Wisconsin's lead to 10 points after Iowa had trimmed the deficit to just three.

Wisconsin (19-8, 11-5 Big Ten) improved to 53.8% shooting from the field, including 10 of 24 from beyond the arc, and made 18 of 20 free throws. Iowa (19-8, 9-7) was led by Bennett Stirtz's 23 points. The Badgers next play at Oregon while Iowa hosts Ohio State.
