Chicago Bears Release Statement on Potential Indiana Stadium

The Chicago Bears released a statement praising Indiana lawmakers after a committee passed a bill to build a new stadium in Hammond.

The Bears called the bill a "meaningful step forward" and committed to completing site-specific due diligence for a Wolf Lake location.

They thanked Governor Braun and Speaker Huston for establishing a framework for a public/private partnership. The bill, which would grant the Bears a $2 billion share and property tax breaks, passed unanimously in the Indiana General Assembly.
