New Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Brian Daboll expressed enthusiasm about working with quarterback Cam Ward, citing the young QB's athleticism and ability to make plays on the move as major attractions. Daboll, who previously developed Josh Allen in Buffalo, emphasized that he's comfortable with Ward's mechanics and has studied his entire career, dating back to college at Washington State and Miami.
Despite Ward's rookie struggles, including ranking last among regular starters in touchdown rate, Daboll highlighted the QB's accuracy and intelligence. 'He's a young, athletic quarterback who has accuracy,' Daboll stated. 'He can make plays on the move. He can do a great job if the play doesn't look great and then all of the sudden it looks great because of his ability.' The coordinator noted he's eager to begin installing his system once offseason activities commence in April.
