Dutch legend Dick Advocaat has stepped down as manager of Curaçao following their historic World Cup qualification, prioritizing his daughter's health.

The 78-year-old Dutch legend has stepped down from managing Curaçao to care for his sick daughter, handing over the reins to Fred Rutten.

Advocaat expressed pride in qualifying the smallest nation by population to the World Cup. He previously led the Netherlands to the 1994 quarter-finals and South Korea in 2006.
