Jaguars' DB Needs Focus at NFL Combine

The NFL combine begins Feb. 23 with defensive backs in focus for the Jaguars, who have clear needs at cornerback and safety positions.

With Montaric Brown and Greg Newsome set to be free agents, the Jaguars have an open starting cornerback role opposite Travis Hunter. The team also has safety needs with Andrew Wingard potentially leaving in free agency. Jacksonville currently has multiple defensive backs under contract including Jarrian Jones, Jourdan Lewis, Eric Murray, and Antonio Johnson who showed promise with five interceptions last season.

The combine provides an opportunity for the Jaguars to evaluate prospects in both on-field drills and one-on-one meetings as they look to address these positions through the draft or free agency.
