Lebanon's Jayden Bailey Remembered at Beech High Game

Lebanon High basketball star Jayden Bailey, who died Feb. 19 after a cancer battle, was honored at a Beech High playoff game with a tribute and QR code.

During the District 7‑4A semifinal at Beech High on Feb. 21, a black table displayed a tribute to 17‑year‑old Jayden Bailey, who died Feb. 19 after a four‑year battle with cancer. The sheet featured a photo of Bailey holding a basketball, his left‑arm amputation scar, the words “Support Jayden Bailey’s Cancer Battle,” and a QR code linking to a GoFundMe page for his family.

Bailey, who had his left arm amputated in August and still played for the Lebanon Blue Devils, helped his team win 46‑44. Coach Jim McDowell and senior Marques Anglin recalled his determination and said he would continue to be with the team. No funeral arrangements have been announced.
