Feb. 28—HOOVER — Braden Weathers went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and four RBIs as Hartselle rolled past Westminster (Ga.) 11-3 in the opening round of the Perfect Game High School Showdown at the Hoover Met on Friday.
Cole Miles had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs for the Tigers, while Cruise Baker added two hits and one RBI. Connor Stiles pitched 2 1/3 innings to earn the win, allowing one earned run on three hits with three strikeouts.
