The Philadelphia Phillies' Spring Training vibes will change a lot in the next couple weeks.

A ton of Phillies are departing to compete in the World Baseball Classic. Both stars and fringe players alike are suiting up for their respective countries in the WBC.

In fact, the Phillies will have players on 10 different rosters in the tournament, which is remarkable.

  • Mexico: Taijuan Walker, Alan Rangel
  • Italy: Aaron Nola, Dante Nori

The Phillis actually could've had even another player competing. Jose Alvarado was supposed to be on the Venezuela roster.

Due to complications with insurance, though, Alvarado wasn't cleared to play in the WBC. He'll just have to spend his March in camp with the Phillies, unlike so many of these guys who will be playing in highly competitive clashes across the world.
