Pedro Acosta, 21, captured his first MotoGP win in the Thailand sprint, overtaking champion Marc Márquez on the final lap. The race finished amid controversy after officials penalised Márquez for a clash with Acosta.

Acosta’s victory was joined on the podium by teammate Raúl Fernández in the Aprilia, while the KTM and Ducati teams watched the historic moment unfold.
