Bernardo Starts as Celtic Face Stuttgart in Europa League Playoff

Paulo Bernardo will start for Celtic as Martin O’Neill marks his 1000th game in charge ahead of the Europa League playoff against Stuttgart.

Martin O’Neill has named a 4-3-3 for the evening, with Paulo Bernardo chosen over Reo Hatate in midfield. The 1000th game for the former Celtic manager sees Kasper Schmeichel in goal and a back‑four of Julian Araujo, Auston Trusty, Liam Scales and Kieran Tierney.

In attack, Tomas Cvancara leads the line with Daizen Maeda and Seb Tounekti on the wings, while Benji Nygren sits just behind. Alex Oxlade‑Chamberlain is unregistered and Arne Engels is injured, leaving the squad to rely on the likes of Callum McGregor and Sinisalo for depth.
