The Celtics announced the signing of 24‑year‑old guard John Tonje on a two‑way contract, giving him a chance to split time between the NBA and G League.

Tonje, a former Utah Jazz draft pick, starred at Colorado State, Missouri, and Wisconsin, earning Second Team All‑American honors and setting school free‑throw records before joining the Jazz’s G League affiliate and later being traded to Boston.
