The Colorado Buffaloes are facing major staff changes with defensive coordinator Robert Livingston departing for the NFL's Denver Broncos. This move adds to the Buffaloes' staff turnover, which has seen them lose 77 years of NFL experience since March 2025. Colorado now has new offensive coordinator Brennan Marion (replacing Pat Shurmur) and new defensive coordinator Chris Marve, who was promoted from linebackers coach.
Under Livingston, the Colorado defense showed significant improvement in 2024, improving from 121st to 43rd in scoring defense. With two new coordinators and numerous position coaches, the Buffaloes face a challenging opening stretch as they prepare for the 2026 season.
