Cox Leads Purdue Past Northwestern 70-66

C.J. Cox scored 27 points with 21 in the second half to lead No. 14 Purdue to a 70-66 victory over Northwestern, ending the Boilermakers' two-game losing streak.

The Boilermakers had to rally from a slow start, with Cox hitting several key 3-pointers including a corner shot with 48 seconds left that gave Purdue a 68-66 lead. Trey Kaufman-Renn contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds before briefly leaving with a shoulder injury. Purdue overcame eight first-half turnovers that helped Northwestern build a lead in the opening minutes.
