Fiorentina and Pisa suffered defeats on Monday, leaving both clubs perilously close to the Serie A drop zone.

Fiorentina was thrashed 3-0 by Udinese, with goals from Christian Kabasele, Kelman Davis (penalty), and Adam Buksa, halting the club's revival and leaving them fifth from bottom.

Pisa lost 1-0 at home to Bologna via a late Jens Odgaard strike, keeping the club joint last with Verona on nine points from safety.
