Flyers beat Maple Leafs 3-2 in shootout for third straight win

Matvei Michkov and Trevor Zegras scored in the shootout to lift the Philadelphia Flyers past the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2.

Noah Cates gave the Flyers a 2-1 lead with 5:18 remaining, but William Nylander tied it on a power-play goal with 2:30 left. Dan Vladar made 29 saves as Philadelphia won its third straight game.

Travis Konecny missed the contest with a lower-body injury, and Auston Matthews failed to convert in the shootout, extending his goal drought to eight games.
