Lincoln Stuns No. 2 O'Dea in Basketball Upset

Lincoln High School pulled off a stunning 71-58 upset over No. 2 O'Dea in the Class 3A state tournament regional round, with sophomores Davion Shareef-Dulaney and Justus Holt combining for 45 points.

The Tacoma-based sixth-seeded Abes dominated from the start, answering Seattle's Metro League basketball pride with a decisive victory at Bellevue College. Holt led all scorers with 23 points while Shareef-Dulaney added 22, helping Lincoln advance to the quarterfinals with a bye.

O'Dea, which had only lost in-state to No. 1 Rainier Beach this season, never recovered from Lincoln's early lead. Senior guard Brian Webster led the Irish with 16 points in a game where offense was hard to come by. Lincoln coach Ryan Rogers praised his team's execution, saying they "rose to the occasion" despite facing a "super strong opponent."
