Lions RB David Montgomery Denies 'Wants Out' Report

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery is refuting an ESPN report claiming he wants to be traded or released. Montgomery responded to the rumors on social media, posting, "Damn, Dmo told you that?" to a tweet aggregating the report.

Despite the rumors, General Manager Brad Holmes stated that he would love to have Montgomery back as the team transitions to a new offensive coordinator. Montgomery, who played all 17 games last season, is expected to share the backfield with emerging star Jahmyr Gibbs.
