McLaughlin Claims Pole Position at St. Petersburg IndyCar Opener

Scott McLaughlin captured the pole position for the IndyCar season opener at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

McLaughlin clocked a 1:00.5426 lap at 107.032 mph, calling the result "bloody good" following a difficult 2024 campaign.

He will start next to Marcus Ericsson on the front row. Rookie Dennis Hauger qualified third, with four-time champion Alex Palou taking the fourth spot.
