Arthur Okonkwo, the 24-year-old Wrexham United goalkeeper, has received FIFA approval to switch his sporting nationality to Nigeria. The towering shot-stopper, born in England to Nigerian parents, is now eligible to represent the Super Eagles.
Okonkwo, who stands at 1.98 meters, has kept 7 clean sheets in 31 Championship appearances this season. Having previously represented England at youth levels (U-15 to U-18), he could challenge for the starting goalkeeper position with Nigeria under coach Eric Chel.
