Purdue Falls to No. 1 Michigan in 91-80 Loss

Purdue men's basketball couldn't overcome a big first-half deficit in a 91-80 loss to No. 1 Michigan at Mackey Arena on Tuesday.

The Boilermakers (21-5, 11-4 Big Ten) fell to the top-ranked Wolverines (25-1, 15-1) despite Trey Kaufman-Renn's 27 points and 12 rebounds. Elliot Cadeau led Michigan with 17 points, four rebounds, and seven assists.

Purdue remains mathematically alive in the conference race but is now realistically playing for its NCAA tournament seed with four games remaining in the regular season.
