Rahm Accuses European Tour of Extortion

Jon Rahm has accused the DP World Tour of extortion in the ongoing conflict between European Tour and LIV Golf players.

The Spanish golfer claims he and other LIV Golf members are being pressured to sign a two-way agreement. Under the deal, they would avoid fines for playing LIV tournaments this year but must pay outstanding debts and compete in a minimum of European Tour events.

In Rahm's case, the agreement requires him to play six European Tour tournaments, two selected by the organization. He is refusing to play more than the mandatory four events needed to maintain his tour card, calling the terms unacceptable.
