Toyota Signs Keelan Harvick to Long-Term Deal

Toyota Racing Development has signed 13-year-old Keelan Harvick, son of NASCAR legend Kevin Harvick, to a long-term driver deal as the third-generation driver commits to a NASCAR career.

Keelan Harvick, 13, will compete in dozens of late model races nationwide this year driving the No. 62 Toyota Camry with ExxonMobil sponsorship. Toyota will partner with RACKLEY W.A.R. and Kevin Harvick, Inc. for the young driver's development.

The decision marks a shift for Keelan, who had previously pursued a career in Europe before an incident with Formula 1 star Charles Leclerc convinced him to focus on NASCAR. 'My main goal is to be just like my Dad and just try to make it to the Cup Series,' Keelan told AP. Notably, Kevin Harvick never drove for Toyota during his 23-year career with Chevrolet and Ford.
