The Chicago White Sox have introduced eco-friendly bidets in their clubhouse at the request of Japanese slugger Munetaka Murakami. While the move has sparked jokes among players, it's part of the team's efforts to help Murakami acclimate as "one of the boys" in western culture.
General manager Chris Getz confirmed the decision, stating it was meant to make Murakami as comfortable as possible. Several players expressed interest in trying the bidets, which are said to provide better hygiene and reduce reliance on toilet paper. The installation comes after Murakami mentioned the need for bidets, and a Japanese toilet manufacturer reached out to offer assistance.
