Aubrey Demands $10M, Cowboys Offer $7.5M

The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly offered kicker Brandon Aubrey a contract worth close to $7.5 million annually to make him the NFL's highest-paid kicker, but he is seeking a significantly higher $10 million per year deal to reset the market.

The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly offered Brandon Aubrey a multi-year deal valued at close to $7.5 million per season. This offer aims to make him the league's highest-paid kicker, currently held by Harrison Butker at $6.4 million. However, Aubrey is seeking a contract closer to $10 million per year, which would dramatically reset the market for kickers.

Aubrey, a three-time All-Pro, is leveraging his elite performance, including a record for the most career 60-plus-yard field goals. Cowboys executive Stephen Jones described the negotiations as a 'journey,' noting talks began before last season. If an extension isn't reached, the Cowboys are expected to place a second-round tender on him, valued at roughly $5.8 million.
