The Indianapolis Colts have given Anthony Richardson permission to seek a trade, just days after General Manager Chris Ballard suggested he could see a future with the young quarterback still on the team. Richardson, the No. 4 pick in the 2023 draft, lost the starting job to Daniel Jones for the 2025 season.
The 23-year-old Richardson has struggled with injuries throughout his career, including an orbital fracture and shoulder surgery. In 17 career games with 15 starts, he has completed just 50.6% of his passes with 8 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. While his value on the trade market remains uncertain, his youth and potential could attract interest from quarterback-needy teams.
